Our 31st concert season opens on Saturday, November 4 at 7 p.m. with our annual Season Preview concert followed by our Gala Silent Auction. The free one-hour concert will feature the Singers performing selections from our three subscription concerts of the season. Included will be Christmas music by Frank Ferko and Daniel Pinkham, love songs by Kenneth Mahy, Vincent Persichetti, and Daniel Gawthrop, as well as sacred works by Maurice Duruflé, John Rutter, and Gabriel Fauré. In addition, I will speak to the audience about the music that is programmed for the year, and you will have an opportunity to meet and hear about this year’s concert beneficiaries. If you are a returning TCS supporter, this is the perfect concert to invite a friend to join you and treat them to an evening of glorious music making. The Preview and Gala Silent Auction will be held at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, 4700 Whitehaven Parkway NW. TCS presents a free one-hour preview featuring selections from this season’s three subscription concerts. Following the performance, the evening continues with our silent auction, a ticketed event complete with hors d’oeuvres, wine, champagne, and merriment. Come for the concert and stay for the party! Bid on fantastic auction items for theater tickets, restaurants, fine art, jewelry, memorabilia, concert tickets, and more. This is a wonderful opportunity to gather and help TCS with our fundraising efforts for the year. Our popular performances annually entertain audiences of more than 1,500. TCS patrons are upwardly mobile music lovers from all occupations and backgrounds—an enthusiastic audience that is very loyal to TCS and its advertisers. This highly sophisticated market segment includes more than 70% who report an annual income of more than $50,000, while 10% report income over $90,000! Approximately two-thirds are men and one-third women and reside throughout the metropolitan Washington, DC-Baltimore area. And best yet, our rates are extremely competitive.
