Spring Concert and Gala
The Thomas Circle Singers' annual spring concert and gala, held April 5 at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Washington, DC, was a lot of fun and a huge fundraising success. "Music for Saints and Sinners" highlighted TCS' strengths through a wide range of repertoire for, about, and by both "saints" and "sinners." Featured composers included Kirke Mechem, Daniel Pinkham, Igor Stravinsky, Ned Rorem, and Orlando di Lasso. The music provided the perfect lead-in for the gala, where guests enjoyed delicious food generously provided by Occasions Caterers, Lebanese Taverna, and Sage Cuisine. Champagne and wine flowed as did the crowds around the tables featuring spectacular silent auction items from sunglasses and jewelry to dinners and getaways. Competition was fierce, but good-natured. The mood was enhanced by the jazz sounds of the Paul Scimonelli Duo. And it was all for a good cause—TCS raised over $8,500. A big thank you to all who attended, and to those who didn't, we hope to see you next year for music and fun for a cause.

Over 400 music lovers attended this concert. Artistic Director James Kreger and Bel Canto Director Michael Wu shared the podium as the choirs joined forces in beautiful music making. The success of this concert helped raise more than $7,000 for TCS.
