Thomas Circle Seniors and the Thomas Circle Singers

Friendship Terrace residents are receiving royal treatment at the Thomas Circle Singers 2008-2009 concert series this year, thanks to the efforts of Scott Yeomans and his partner Richard Seale.  Richard's mother Lucile lives at Friendship Terrace and he and Scott wanted to ensure that residents had the opportunity to attend the series. 

Through the generosity of Scott's employer, Executive Travel Associates, 10 residents receive escorted transportation and free tickets to each of the concerts.  Residents sign up through the Friendship Terrace Activities Coordinator, Courtney Cunningham and Scott escorts them to the concert. At the concert, residents have reserved seating and large print programs.  The transportation is provided by JP Transportation of Rockville. 

Scott and Richard hope to expand the program to another senior community next year.  Scott, who is on the Board of Thomas Circle Singers, plans to incorporate funding for the program into future grant proposals. As Scott shares, "It doesn't take a whole lot of effort to coordinate the trips and the residents are so appreciative."
