“There is no such beauty as where you belong.” This quote from Stephen Paulus’ “The Road Home” sets the tone for our concert. “Home” can encompass a variety of meanings. Shawn Kirchner’s celebrated “Unclouded Day” envisions finding one’s heavenly home in a joy-filled afterlife, while Melissa Dunphy’s “N-400 Erasure Songs” portrays the alienation and challenges of the immigration process. Michael Fili’s gorgeous “Away, Home” expresses the universal yearning for a place to belong.
