Visions

Our final concert of the season will guide you into the mystic natural world as we envision it in both its glory and its fragility.  Along with two of her earlier works, the world premiere of a newly commissioned piece by Arianne Abela casts the evocative poetry of Ruthie Prillaman in song and transports us to moments when nature intertwines with the human spirit. Robert Vuichard’s “Zephyr Rounds” carries us deeper to mystic visions of the spiritual world that surrounds us, while Ronja Mokráňová’s poignant “Let Them Not Say” delivers a dark vision of a natural world neglected. Our season closes with one of Jake Runestad’s iconic works, which invites us to  “come to the woods” to celebrate the beauty and wisdom that lie in the heart of the forest.
