Echoes: Thomas Circle Singers’ 50th Anniversary Concert

May 8, 2027 @ 4:00 pm

Our fiftieth anniversary season culminates in a celebration of the music that has helped define Thomas Circle Singers. The centerpiece is the world premiere of a new commission by Thomas LaVoy, written in honor of TCS’s half-century of remarkable artistry and community. Beloved past TCS commissions return alongside additional works that reveal new dimensions of these composers’ musical voices. Ola Gjeilo’s expansive A New Earth joins his soaring Across the Vast, Eternal Sky, while Blake Henson’s radiant August Moonrise is paired with his haunting O Vos Omnes. Looking back with gratitude while embracing the future, this anniversary celebration honors the music and commitment to service that have echoed through TCS for fifty years.
